Continuation from the previous post! Blogging about the 2 characters i chose to draw from the same story.
Ne Zha!
Added red fiery wheels to both the drawings and some new weapons. :) Used a triangle shape for the body of ne zha (bottom right) because he is a defiant and mischievous child. However, i also used a circle shape for his head to bring out the good in him. Since he is just a child, his misdeeds are all out of pure playfulness.
Goddess of Mercy (Guan Yin)
Used the circle shape (in both drawings) to represent Guan Yin in general. :) She is a good character and no other shapes would be more appropriate than circles. Drew her in a more modern perspective for the drawing on the right. Look at her beautiful tight-fitting dress and check out the weapon which i added! Nun-chucks!
The final composition!
I personally love how i drew a water gun as a weapon for Guan Yin! I think it is a rather interesting idea! ^^
How i came up with this: Ne zha is known to have fire as his power and i was thinking of drawing Guan Yin taming ne zha/ controlling him in order to stop his mischievous deeds. Therefore, i thought of using water, which is the only thing which can be used to extinguish fire, hence, water gun is used as a weapon!
Also, i drew Guan Yin in a much bigger proportion as compared to ne zha to show her authority.
